You may or may not remember me from that one time I helped you stumble into an Uber after you temporarily forgot how door handles work.

Or from when you got emotional after your third Peach Bellini and asked for my hand in marriage.

Or from when I gave you that big high-five because you finally pronounced “Glenfiddich” correctly.

That’s right, I’m your bartender! And I am thrilled to be bringing our special relationship that even your therapist envies into the sanctity of your own home. My goal is to transfer to you the knowledge, skills, and joy of cocktail crafting whether you have slung drinks before or have never even tried.

Cherrie started working in restaurants when she was a teen as a bus person and dishwasher.   During meal service, she was intrigued with the chef who would flambé steaks as a show in front of the guests and she thought to herself “Someday, I will do that too!” Cherrie continued working in the trade with Via Rail in the dining car kitchen, where she traveled throughout Canada and mentored with the railway's top chefs.  In addition to cooking, she also has a few years under her belt as a seasoned mixologist.

Fast forward to 2020, Cherrie joined Team ChefTorial as a virtual cooking personality in its early stages and never looked back!  Cherrie loves to put a spin on traditional cuisine and layers flavors using fruits and bold spices in her recipes.  She loves to style her food and she specializes in creating canapes and tapas, however she does it all from breakfast to midnight snacks!  Her favorite foods are Latin American, Filipino, Thai, French, Italian, Mediterranean and Greek.  She also owns her own personalized catering company, The Little Olive which you can follow on Facebook as well as littleolivetree1 on Instagram.

Chef Gillian has always loved her time in the kitchen and has a lifelong passion for bringing people together over memorable experiences. Her first dish was a salmon loaf at  7 years old, so it’s a good thing she's come a long way from there.

While finishing her graduate diploma in Australia in 2008, she worked with a wine company and started hosting wine-pairing-style dinners from her home in Melbourne. As the guests continued to return, bring their friends, and ask for the recipes, Gillian was inspired to start her blog and now business where she's better known as “One Blonde Chef”.

Chef Gillian's approach is to combine simple techniques that are inspired by international flavours. The goal is to create impressive, yet approachable dishes and put her own twist on recipes such as Ackee & Saltfish Phyllo Cups with a Roasted Tomato.

It's truly her passion to bring people together over food and she looks forward to having you “Be a Guest at your Own Event!”
